  1. The electorial college is when they take the votes of people and the have an elector to determine the whole vote forthe people. For every hundred people there is one elector. I think that either way you put it would be unfair so it doesnt matter because either way the larger states will win if they all vote for one perosn. Let say they took away the electorial college and uses everyone votes then the larger states would definitly win and if you took the electorial college where for every one hundred is one elector the big states would still win because they again have alot more people then smaller states...the small states have a disadvantage.

  2. Each state is a separate election. When a given candidate wins in the state, all of the states electoral votes go to the winner. So the people do influence the outcome, but it is possible for a candidate to win the popular vote and lose the electoral vote.

  3. How the electoral college works by each state votes; however, that does not mean that person wins, or is president, it means they got a popular vote. Then the votes are taken over to the electorals. 2 from the senate of each state and all of the house of representatives of each state. Their vote is one that truly determines the winner. I think this way has worked for the all of the other elections so it should be used, but it is not far because the only meaningful votes are the electoral ones. The popular vote does not really mean anything. Someone should come up with another way to count the votes equally.

  4. voting is carried out by the electoral college by senate and house representative that take the totoal amount for each and present it to the elector and goes to the senate and they take the rounded vote of each state, i think the way that we have been voting for years should not change because its just a system that has been a system that has worked for this long so why change it now

  5. The electoral college works by, each state is counted as electoral votes. When the people vote and the votes are counted, which ever candidate wins that state wins all the electoral votes. For example if you win in florida you get 25 electoral votes, and california is 54 electoral votes. Therefore, sometimes it is not all the popular votes that allow you to win. The votes in the states get carried into the house and the senate and their vote determines the winner. This is an effective way of voting and has been useful over many years, but it is unfair towards the winners of popular votes because the votes they really need are those of the Senate and the House.

  6. The electoral college is when the state votes for who they want to be president, and then the party that has more votes wins the entire state. I think it should be changed, only slightly though. Because even though it's supposed to help smaller states, it doesn't because the larger states still have more electoral votes. Each state should be one vote, and you need at least 26 to win.

  7. The electoral college works by popular vote for each state. If you have a majority of the peoples votes in a state you win the electoral votes that has been designated for that particular state. They are given a certain amount of electoral points based off their population, the more people they have the more points they recieve. Therefore, since we have been doing this same method for centuries now, i feel that we should not change it since we are the most dominate and powerful country in the world.

  8. For every hundred people in a state, there is one elector. Those electors chose who is running for that state for presidency. Popular vote does not matter. Then whoever wins for that state, gets all the points of that state which then is added with the points of the other states that the candidate has won, and whoever has the most points wins. I do not really prefer this method. I understand it has worked for awhile, but I still think that the popular vote should win it. Or at-least do what Pennsylvania and California are trying to do and allocate the points by district, instead of "winner gets all."

  9. the electoral college is the senators plus the house that votes on who the president should be. the whole state votes and then the house and senate for that state votes in favor of there state. yes i think it should be changed because i don't think its fair that they say we have a voice when we vote but yet they can vote for the person who didn't win the state.

  10. it seems electoral college plays a bigger role than most citizens can understand. i believe the U.S should remain using the electoral because its a system that works perfectly fine, and change isn't always for the best. "can't fix something thats not broken."

  11. IT works bye= each state. Each states people votes for the president they want and the state tallies its votes. Each state get 2 votes its state representatives and then the other vote is based on their population.

  12. For some reason, I do not agree with electoral college and how it works. Electoral college works when the states vote for who they want to be president and basically the party that has more votes wins the entire state? In my opinion, electoral college is a waste of time, because either way the smaller states are getting screwed! Do I think it needs to be changed? Yes, but that is also a waste of time since this is a system that the US have used for years. I'm sure they wouldnt change it now.

  13. Electoral college is that each state is counted as electoral votes. When the people vote and the votes are counted but it doesn't mean that person wins, it means they got a popular vote. I think it needs change because there are many bigger states and basically i feel as though the smaller states votes really don't matter
